About me
“If you ever get close to a human and human behaviour, be ready to get confused. There’s definitely, definitely, definitely no logic to human behavior…..”
The lyrics from Bjork’s “Human Behaviour” often come to my head when I am out and about. Whether I am exploring the vibrancy of my own city or uncovering exotic lands, there is always an unpredictability in everyday life that is both captivating and exciting.
Street photography is a way for me to step out of the usualness of my “world”. Becoming immersed in the activities of others as they go about their daily business, capturing unplanned moments, uncovering the pain and joy of life…..
As an observer, no longer a participant, you get a completely different perspective. Yes, for me, street photography is a living record of human behaviour, a truly fascinating way to document life as it happens.
Welcome to my space! I am originally from Portugal, but now it is fair to say I am a citizen of the world. My passion for photography led me to pursue formal qualifications in the subject, and strengthened what I already knew – that a love for documentary photography runs deep in my veins!
I travelled. A lot. Both on commission and on my free time. I want to uncover the seen and the unseen moments of human interactions. Starting with the damp streets of the United Kingdom and its beating heart London, through to the confusion of navigating mega cities in Asia. Then, the old cities of Europe, teaming with centuries of history, to the ancient lands of South America. I have been truly blessed with opportunities to explore. Each journey has opened up amazing experiences, and led me to where I am today.
